Thankful

It's 12:40 AM on Thanksgiving 2011 and I have so very much to be thankful for.
*I'm thankful I am a child of God. He is so faithful. I have seen Him provide for my family in amazing ways over the last few years, and have witnessed His protection over my family. He has blessed us far more than we deserve.

*I'm thankful for my husband. He works harder than anyone I know and is a great provider for our family. He is an amazing father. I love watching him with our boys and I love seeing how much they love him. I'm thankful for all his strengths that balance out my weaknesses. I'm thankful for all the years we have spent together and for the years ahead. I love him so much!

*I'm so thankful for our children. They bring me a joy that I can't describe. I'm so thankful God gave me the great honor of being a mother. Max is so sweet and loving. He's sensitive like his mommy and independent like his daddy. He's so smart and is a great big brother. I'm so thankful the Lord brought Landon into our lives this year. I love the way he looks up at me, and I love seeing that sweet, little smile he recently started showing us. I love my children more than I could ever put into words!

*I'm thankful for my parents. I just don't know where I would be without them. You never stop needing your parents. My mom is my best friend. I can talk to her about everything and I know I'm always going to get great advice. She's usually always right. :o) I just think of all the ways she has been there for me over the years and know I am who I am today because of her and my dad. I have always been a daddy's girl. My daddy is the sweetest guy you will ever meet. He is always so willing to help us out whenever we need him. He can fix anything. :o) I love the little things about him that never change. Always telling us to be careful, making sure we lock our doors and are safe. Both of my parents have sacrificed so much for their children and I'm so thankful my children have such amazing grandparents.

*I'm thankful God has always provided a roof over our heads and a vehicle to get to where we need to go.

*I'm thankful for my friends. There are only a few, but they are true and genuine. It's all about quality not quantity. :o)

*I'm thankful for everyone that makes up my family. Grandparents, brothers, sister, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles... I love them ALL so much and so glad they are a part of my life.

*I'm thankful for all the little things. Sleep, coffee, date nights, girls nights, technology, good food, good music, good movies... All the little pleasures in life. This list could go on and on. It's the little things that help create memories and allow you to enjoy the time you spend with friends and family

I honestly could sit here all night and list things I'm thankful for. I believe the list may be endless. I just wanted to share the most important ones. If anything, for myself. It's good to be able to count my blessings and see how much the Lord has given me.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Pintervention

...It's probably in my future. I can't even tell you how much time I spend on there a day. I've decided that the only thing that's going to stop the creator of Pinterest from becoming more rich and famous than Mark Zuckerberg, is the fact that Pinterest users are primarily female...I'm assuming. Seriously though, whoever they are...geniuses!!! So my bff and I were talking, and we decided we need to stop pinning and actually start making some of these things. So we are going to have a Pinterest day! We're going to be making Christmas presents and most likely some yummy munchies. So exciting! :o) I'm also trying several recipes for dinner next week. I'm eager to see how they turn out! My son wants a superhero hero room and I've found some seriously awesome ideas on how to do one on a budget, and honestly, I think it's going to look cooler than it would if I were to spend a ton of money on it! I also found a really cool craft that I'm going to attempt to make my parents for Christmas. I HOPE I can pull it off! If I do, I will post pictures. I'm not going to say what it is though, just in case my mom reads this. :o)
I will blog with pictures with the things I've tried and let you know how it goes.
I could go on and on about how great it is, but you seriously need to check it out for yourself! If you need an invite, comment on this blog and I will be more than happy to send you one. :o) And don't forget to follow me!

Landon is 1 month old!

Well, Mr. Landon will be 5 weeks old tomorrow. I know 5 weeks sounds so short, but I feel like he's been here forever and can't believe he's already a month old! It is still pretty crazy around here, but we are all definitely adjusting. Max has his good days and bad days. He truly adores his little brother, but for someone who has been the easiest kid ever, he has seriously been acting out lately. I know the baby is a huge life change for him, and I'm sure this is to be expected, but it certainly hasn't been easy. He loves helping me out with Landon, and he is always talking to him and hugging and kissing on him, but he does not get as much attention from mommy right now and I think that's what has been hard on him.
Landon is a good baby and so sweet. I just love that little, chunky face. :o) Since birth though, he wakes up every three hours almost on the dot. He also has his moments where he is so restless and nothing I do can get that boy to sleep. With him getting up every three hours, I really count on those three hours to sleep myself, so when he's done eating and doesn't go back to sleep, that's rough! There have been nights where I've gotten maybe an hour, sometimes no sleep. He has stomach issues as well. His little belly is so sensitive and even the smallest gas bubble hurts him really bad. Very sad for me. It's so hard when they're that little and can't understand why they feel that way, and when there's only so much I can do, it just breaks my heart.
This last week he has been starting to smile, which is an exciting milestone. Seeing that tiny little face looking at me and then a big grin just come across his face... I mean come on! Best.thing.ever. Seriously, being a mommy... I can't even describe the joy it brings me. I'll take the sleepless nights for those two boys any day. SO worth it!
Oh, remember how I said nothing I do gets Landon to sleep when he's restless? I did discover a trick just last night! Michael Buble. God bless him! Landon was in his swing, crying away. I needed to get dinner started. I knew he was just wanting me to hold him, so I was trying to just let him fuss it out, but that boy is persistent, let me tell ya. His swing has a little iPod hookup so I plugged in my iPhone and turned on Michael's Christmas album. Instant silence. He heard Christmas music, I heard the Hallelujah chorus! Michael is currently serenading my sleeping boy now! :o)
Alright, that means I need to wrap this up and take advantage of both boys sleeping and tackle that pile of laundry on the couch that's taunting me. Blah.

Here's my boy at 1 month!

Boogie Wipes & Saline Soothers Review/Giveaway!

CONTEST CLOSED!
WINNERS ANNOUNCED IN THE WIDGET BELOW!

I was just given the opportunity to review another one of my favorite products! Before I received the products to review, I had no idea that Boogie Wipes made an adult line of products, Saline Soothers! So this will actually be two reviews within one post! There will be a Boogie Wipes prize and a Saline Soothers prize, so make sure you enter because that means 2 winners!

I absolutely love Boogie Wipes! Especially during this season when the runny and stuffy noses are inevitable! My three year old is actually a bit OCD about his nose, so he is always wanting something to wipe his nose. lol I was so happy when I discovered Boogie Wipes because plain, dry tissues would dry up his little nose so bad and it would get so red! He would usually ask for baby wipes anyway, because I think he felt the moisture cleaned his nose better. But his nose still seemed to dry out, and baby wipes aren't really meant for the noses. Boogie Wipes are made with natural saline to dissolve boogies (mucus) caused by the common cold, allergies or otherwise booger-filled kid moments. What's really great about them though is THEY ACTUALLY WORK! They were invented by 2 Moms who were tired of using saline spray, bulb syringes and regular dry tissue to soothe a boogie nose. I can relate to that — it’s all horrific stuff to have to put your child through when they already don’t feel good and have a sore nose. It's seriously a genius product.

What else is genius is Boogie Wipes makes it convenient to take them anywhere! They have their 30 count packs, which I love for around the house, their Boogie Wipes On the Run packs with 10 individually wrapped wipes. I love those because you can toss them in your purse and/or diaper bag, which is convenient and handy. You can also toss them in backpacks and lunch boxes for the kiddos. Then there is their 90 count Boogie canister, which I think is great for the car! Boogie Wipes are available in Great Grape, Fresh Scent, Minty Menthol and Simply Unscented. The scented varieties are great, and definitely kid friendly! They're also gentle and safe for noses of all ages. They are hypoallergenic, alcohol free, and the unique formula moisturizes with added chamomile, vitamin E and aloe. I have already used them on my new little guy, who will be three weeks old tomorrow!

Boogie Wipes is available at major retails stores, such as Target, ToysRUs and Walmart. You can join the Boogie Bunch to download a $.50 off coupon now!

Now for the Saline Soothers! Like I mentioned above, I didn't realize the makers of Boogie Wipes made saline wipes for adults, until I received them in the mail to review. I was ecstatic! Dry tissues can chap your nose and those with aloe can leave a filmy residue on your skin. Not so with Saline Soothers. They are pre-moistened with natural saline, vitamin E, and aloe. Saline Soothers are designed to do just that – soothe! I was guilty of stealing my kids Boogie Wipes in the past, because they were such a better option than dry tissues, which always chap my nose and leaving me looking like Rudolph. Plus they aren't very sturdy. But being an adult, pulling out a bright green or purple pack of wipes that read "Boogie Wipes" on them, to use for myself tended to be a tad embarrassing at times. lol! Saline Soothers are so wonderful! Like Boogie Wipes, the saline cleans and helps dissolve mucus, while moisturizing aloe and vitamin E keep your nose looking and feeling up to snuff. As always, their products are hypoallergenic and alcohol free. Also, like Boogie Wipes, Saline Soothers come in three refreshing scents: Cool Menthol, Fragrance Free, and Light Lavender. And they are packaged for grown ups! Yay! They come in a convenient pack that reseals to keep your wipes moist and fresh for the next time you need them.

Now for the fun part! You can enter now to receive (2) packs of 30-count wipes (fresh, grape, menthol, or unscented– combination varies), and 2 packs of your very own Saline Soothers!

The first winner that is randomly selected will receive the Boogie Wipes prize.

The second winner that is randomly seleceted will receive the Saline Soothers.
